Music therapy, massage therapy, and nursing care are all offered by Hospice of Washington County. Director of marketing, Robyn Harvey-Kuntz shares their mission is to provide end of life care for patients and families for those experiencing a terminal illness by providing specialized care where they are, whether it is at home, a nursing facility or a hospital.

Hospice care is available for patients diagnosed with a terminal illness with a limited prognosis. She adds hospice care is not only for the patient, but also for the family and can help during a stressful time of life.

Hospice of Washington County reaches beyond Washington County lines and provides service for people in six other counties, including Henry, Jefferson, Johnson, Keokuk, Louisa and Muscatine.

November is national Hospice and Palliative Care Month. For more information listen to today’s Washington Page.
