Even though there was a slight bump in crude oil prices,  gas prices across Iowa remained steady. There are still six states, mostly in the south, with a statewide average price below $2 per gallon. In Iowa, the average price is at $2.29, that is down nearly 20 cents from a month ago. Prices remain well below where they stood last year at this time, nearly 68 cents lower. However, that Iowa average is above the national average of $2.18.

Currently the price in Washington has been staying steady at $2.28 per gallon. Gas in Olds continues to hold the low spot at $2.04, while in Wayland you can buy gasoline for $2.07.

Statewide, the highest we could find is in Essex and Shenandoah, where gas is selling for $2.70, lowest in the state is in Clear Lake at $1.95.
