Drought conditions in Iowa lessened this week, compared to last week. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, only 3.26 percent of Iowa is abnormally dry currently, down from 15.79 percent last week. Most of southeast Iowa was abnormally dry last week, now only the far northeast corner of the state is in that category. Rain and snowfall was observed in southeast Iowa in the last seven days. At this time last year about seven percent of Iowa was abnormally dry.
