The main facilitator on the Winfield-Mount Union Wolves volleyball team the past two years received another postseason honor this week. The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) announced their all-district volleyball teams Wednesday, and W-MU senior Caitlin Jamison made the Class 1A Southeast District squad.

Jamison eclipsed 1,000 career assists during her final high school volleyball season, making her the fifth Wolves volleyball player to achieve the feat. She made 456 assists this season, rounding her career total up to 1,019.

W-MU head volleyball coach Dave Pieart said during the November 4th PM Sports Page that Jamison is exploring college volleyball opportunities but didn’t mention any schools by name.

Jamsion and the Wolves’ volleyball team kept two significant streaks intact this fall. W-MU’s 17-16 overall record is the eighth straight winning season for the program. The Wolves also finished in the top three in the Southeast Iowa Super Conference North standings for an eighth straight season.
