Mid-Prairie softball standout Amber Kral signed her letter of intent to play collegiate softball on Thursday afternoon in the media center at Mid-Prairie High School.

The Golden Hawk third baseman will continue her softball career at Division II power Minnesota State in Mankato, Minnesota.

Kral led the Golden Hawks in several offensive categories during the 2015 campaign. Her 12 home runs and 71 runs batted in were the best on the squad. Her 71 RBI were the third highest total in the state. Kral hit .455 overall and slugged .891.

Last year the Golden Hawks finished the year with a 22-13 overall record. Falling to Solon in the second round of the Class 3A regional playoffs 12-2.

Minnesota State was 38-23 in the 2015 season, including a 20-10 recording the North Sun Intercollegiate Conference. The Mavericks earned the three seed in the NSIC tournament, bowing out to Augustana in the semifinals.
