Washington received one inch of rain Monday and Tuesday. So far this month Washington has observed 1.93 inches of precipitation. The first snow of the season is expected this weekend. According to AccuWeather two inches of snow are forecast to fall Friday night into Saturday morning.

The Iowa Department of Transportation reminds drivers to maintain a reasonable speed for the conditions and keep a safe distance when following other vehicles. Also, be aware that bridges and ramps often freeze before other sections of the road. Listen to KCII for weather updates.
