Tuesday the Washington County Board of Supervisors officially canvassed the November 3rd election day votes. The official results show Washington’s city council will have three new faces in 2016 with Millie Youngquist, Brendan DeLong and Kerry Janecek being elected. Janecek won the Ward 1 seat by nine votes over incumbent Bob Shepherd. The official canvass also shows 694 people voted yes for the $2 million public health bond measure while 1,255, or 64 percent, voted no.

KCII News discovered discrepancies on the initial unofficial results document released by the auditor’s office on election night, causing a review of the voting figures. Updated unofficial results were then released by the auditor’s office Wednesday morning, which match those canvassed this week.
