Four members of the Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk wrestling team find themselves ranked in the latest class 2A Individual High School Wrestling Poll from thepredicament.com.

At 120lbs, Mid-Prairie junior Duncan McCain checks in at No. 7. McCain is 14-0 on the season, posting tournament championships at the Jeremy Fulk Classic, Mount Vernon Invitational and the North Linn Invitational.

Mid-Prairie senior Cameron Tolander is ranked seventh at 182lbs in the latest poll. Tolander currently holds an overall record of 5-3, and was a champion at the Jeremy Fulk Classic.

Mid-Prairie junior Visouth Peterschmidt is eighth in the current poll. Peterschmidt has an overall record of 14-1 on the season. Peterschmidt took home championships at the Jeremy Fulk Classic and the North Linn Invitational. Peterschmidt has wrestled one match this year against a fellow member of the top ten, falling to West Liberty’s Bryce Esmoil, who is currently ranked third in the state. Esmoil won the matchup by a 1-0 score in overtime.

Mid-Prairie junior Levi Duwa is eighth in the state at 220lbs in the latest poll. Duwa has an overall record of 12-2 for the year. Duwa won the championship at the North Linn Invitational earlier this month. Duwa has a record of 1-1 against current members of the top 10. He pinned No. 4 ranked Jordan Baumler of North Fayette Valley and lost by fall to No. 5 ranked Noah Broderson of Davenport Assumption.

Mid-Prairie will open up the second half of the season on Monday night when they travel to Iowa City for a River Valley Conference Triangular against Iowa City Regina and Tipton.
