The Mid-Prairie boys basketball team remained winless on the young season, falling to Northeast of Gooselake Friday night in Wellman, 67-39.

The Rebels started the game on a 19-5 run that lasted the entire first quarter and never looked back, leading 28-15 at the half. Northeast put the game out of reach with another run out of the break, outscoring Mid-Prairie 20-11 in the third quarter to build a 48-26 lead. Mid-Prairie was led in the game by Caleb Statler with seven points. With the loss, Mid-Prairie is now 0-2 on the year and will next be in action Tuesday when they travel to Iowa City Regina.
