Two KCII area schools take the court Friday in conference action.

The Iowa Mennonite School girls and boys basketball teams host WACO tonight in Southeast Iowa Super Conference action. The IMS girls enter tonight’s game with an overall record of 0-2 overall and stand at 0-2 in league play. Last time out IMS was beaten 45-27 by the Wapello Arrows on Tuesday in Kalona. IMS was led in the game by Jess Bender with nine points. The WACO girls are also winless on the young season, standing at 0-2 overall and 0-2 in conference play. Last time WACO was on the floor they fell to Mediapolis 76-27 in Wayland. Last year WACO and IMS met three times with the Warriors winning each matchup.

The IMS boys are 1-0 on the year after a 67-55 win over Wapello on Tuesday night in Kalona. IMS was led in the game by Drake Brezina’s 22 points, Eli Gingerich added 17 to the IMS effort. The WACO boys are 0-1 on the year after a loss to Mediapolis to open the season on Tuesday, the Bulldogs beat the Warriors 57-33. WACO was led by Duncan Pickard and his nine points.
