The Iowa Mennonite School boys and girls basketball teams host Wapello Tuesday night in their home openers.

The Arrows came up short against Louisa-Muscatine on Tuesday 45-31. The IMS boys will officially open their season tonight when they host the Wapello Indians in the back half of the double header. IMS has had two scrimmages, beating Clear Creek Amana 26-24 on November 23rd at the Mid-Prairie basketball jamboree, and most recently downing Mid-Prairie 68-62 on Friday at Hillcrest Union in the Hall of Pride Challenge Scrimmage. IMS was led in the matchup by Eli Gingerich with 17 points and Nick Yutzy with 12. IMS was 14-9 a season ago. Tonight’s game also serves as the season opener for the visiting Indians. Wapello finished last season at 2-19. Iowa Mennonite swept the season series a year ago, winning 61-40 at Wapello to open the season, and beating the Indians 66-57 at Hillcrest Union in mid-January.
