The Kalona Public Library continues its efforts in youth outreach by hosting a Noon Year’s Eve party for kids in the area. What is a “Noon Year’s Eve” party you may ask. Erin Silva tells KCII News, the library understands kids want to stay up late for the New Year’s festivities but most can’t stay up that late. So the library had an idea to let kids celebrate with another country. The library staff will help kids make party hats and noisemakers, dance, and countdown the minutes to noon. The party starts at 11:15 a.m. and is finished up at noon at the Kalona Public Library. No registration is required.
