The KCII Big Red Radio is collecting food for area pantries. The goal is to fill the Big Red Radio with food and toiletry items to distribute to food pantries across the KCII-listening area in January, to help restock shelves after the busy holiday season. Joe Nichols, KCII General Manger, explains this helps area pantries start the year off on the right foot. Items can be dropped off at one of the participating businesses, the KCII studios or any time you see the Big Red Radio. The Big Red Radio will be at the United Presbyterian Home Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and Hy-vee and RePurpose It later in the week. This is the 13th year of the KCII Caring Christmas food drive.
