The Mid-Prairie girls basketball team has entered the Christmas break. The Golden Hawks finished the 2015 calendar year with a 5-3 overall record.

The Hawks are 5-2 in league action. In their last game Mid-Prairie came up short on the road against No. 5 West Branch 69-40. The Golden Hawks also posted an impressive road win over No. 12 Durant on Saturday, December 19th, beating the Wildcats 41-39 in overtime.

On the year Mid-Prairie has a trio of players in double figures, led by Addison Rath at 13 points per game, sixth best in the conference. Ali Butters 11 points per game put her 10th in the conference in scoring. Emily Cayton leads Mid-Prairie with three assists per game, her total of 24 puts her fourth in the conference. Ireland Hostetler leads the River Valley Conference with 13 blocked shots on the season and Addison Rath’s 40 rebounds on the year puts her in ninth place in the conference. The Golden Hawks will be back on the floor to open up the second half of their season Tuesday, January 5th when they host Durant.
