The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk wrestling team travels to North Cedar Thursday night for a River Valley Conference triangular with the Knights and Bellevue.

Mid-Prairie was last in action Saturday at the Mount Vernon Invitational. The Golden Hawks took four wrestlers to Saturday’s event, crowned one champion and had two runners up. Duncan McCain took home the title at 120lbs, Visouth Peterschmidt was the runner up at 195lbs and Levi Duwa was second at 220lbs. The Golden Hawks enter tonight’s event with a 4-1 dual record overall and a perfect 2-0 record in the River Valley Conference. According to thepredicament.com, Mid-Prairie has four ranked wrestlers in their lineup. Duncan McCain is sixth in the state at 120lbs, Cameron Tolander is seventh in the state at 182lbs, Visouth Peterschmidt is ninth in the state at 195lbs and Levi Duwa is fifth in the state at 220lbs.

North Cedar enters tonight’s action with a 1-6 overall record, the Knights are 0-3 in conference duals. In their last dual the Knights fell to Wilton 45-24. North Cedar does not currently  have a ranked wrestler in their lineup. Bellevue enters tonight’s meet with an overall record of 1-5, they are 1-3 in the River Valley Conference. In their last meet, Bellevue was swept in a quadrangular by West Branch, Davenport North and Northeast of Gooselake. Bellevue does not currently have a ranked wrestler in their lineup.
