Twelve businesses in downtown Washington are taking part in Thursday’s rescheduled Twilight Shop and Stroll. The event was originally planned before Thanksgiving but had to be moved due to inclement weather. Sarah Sadrakula, director of Main Street Washington, encourages people to stop by the square. She says the businesses are excited to be open late and to offer holiday specials for customers.

Sadrakula adds that shopping at small, locally-owned businesses helps support the community, as these businesses help with events and fundraisers for area groups and pay local property taxes.

Join the Big Red Radio downtown Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. for the Twilight Shop and Stroll.
