One man is sharing his holiday tradition of setting up model trains near a Christmas tree at the United Presbyterian Home. Jim Bennett has three tracks with model trains operating in the entrance of the UP Home. He’s been doing this for five years now. Bennett grew up about a block away from train tracks in a small town in Illinois. Now he collects the model trains and refurbishes them. He shares it feels like Christmas to get the trains out each year, as he rediscovers pieces he forgot he had.

The display is open to the public and Bennett says he’d be proud to show it. The public is invited to see it in the Stewart Hall entrance of the UP Home from 10 to 11:15 a.m. and 2:30 to 4 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
