A fiscal year 2016 budget amendment, the Steele Family Aquatic Center rates, and raising parking violation fines will be discussed at tonight’s Washington City Council meeting. The YMCA has managed the city pool for the past two seasons and it is recommended by the Park Board to approve a new agreement but raising the management fee from $7,000 to $8,500. It is also recommended that an increase of $5 for single and family passes be approved.

Also, after reaching consensus at an earlier meeting, the council will consider the first reading of an ordinance increasing the penalty fee for parking violations from $5 to $20. Under the proposed ordinance the fee would increase to $30 after 30 days and the simple notice of a fine for snow route parking violations is $50.

The council meets tonight at 6 p.m. in council chambers.
