An estimated $2.3 million project in Washington is now ready for bids. The Washington City Council unanimously approved a motion for hearing and letting for the Washington Business Park. City Administrator Brent Hinson explained, in August the project was estimated to cost $2.9 million but portions of phase one had to be delayed to lower the cost. One of these includes using the existing gravel roadway as the base for paving and curving the road north in a later phase of the project.

Sealed proposals must be submitted by 2 p.m. January 28th to the Washington City Clerk. The council will hold the hearing on February 2nd at 6 p.m. to adopt plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost for the construction of phase one of the project.
