Two duals separate the No. 7 Washington Demon wrestling team (28-0) from an undefeated regular season. The Demons will be in Williamsburg tonight, grappling the No. 14 Raiders (13-3 overall) and Oskaloosa Indians (3-17 overall) in a non-conference quadrangular. The Keokuk Chiefs will also be in Williamsburg, but won’t face Washington in the event.

The Demons enter tonight’s season finale with 10 wrestlers who have recorded 25 or more wins on the mat. They include: seniors Michael Ellingson (145; 30-8) and Bryce Rickey (170; 25-10); juniors Andrew Waite (126; 28-10), Kyle Anderson (132; 32-5), Austin Hazelett (138; 34-3), Trey Van Weelden (152; 35-2), and Karlton Skuball (182; 32-3); sophomore Mitchell Huisenga (285; 26-11); and freshmen Walker Ikerd (113; 32-6), David Hora (120; 34-11), and Tristan Westphal-Edwards (160; 31-6).

Washington’s biggest hurdle in accomplishing a perfect dual season will come against the Raiders, who have a pair of wrestlers ranked in the Predicaments Class 2A individual rankings. Senior Vic Malloy has been tabbed as the No. 4 wrestler in the 182 pound weight class, while sophomore Grayson Kesterson is ranked No. 8 in the 106 pound division.

Despite a struggling dual season, the Indians have a handful of wrestlers who have found success on the mat this season. Junior Callan Tomlin (285) have won 22 of his 24 matches this season, while junior Jason Beebe (182) has won 18 of his 19 grapples.

The quadrangular is scheduled to commence at 6 p.m. at Williamsburg High School.
