The road swing continues tonight for the Washington Demon boys’ basketball team (3-8 overall). The Demons will play their third game away from Washington in the last four days, traveling to West Liberty for a non-conference contest against the Comets (4-5 overall). Washington is searching for their first win of the roadtrip, falling 62-40 Friday to Mount Pleasant (6-3 overall), and 77-70 Saturday to Center Pointe-Urbana (6-5 overall).

A pair of Washington sophomores posted back-to-back career high scoring efforts over the last two games. Point guard Dalton Myers dropped a career-high 28 points in the seven point loss Saturday. Small forward Jack Redlinger led the Demons in scoring versus the Panthers, pouring in a career-best 15 points.

The Comets enter tonight’s game after edging the West Branch Bears (4-8 overall), 68-66 in Friday’s River Valley Conference action. Senior Brady Smith tops West Liberty in points scored (130), total rebounds (58), and steals (14). Smith’s 68% field goal percentage (58-86) is the best among the players in the River Valley South Conference with 10 or more shots attempted.
