Fairfield High School was put under a lockdown this week after a threat was received. On Tuesday Police responded to the site as an added safety precaution. Following an investigation, Ilelabyo “David” Olaniyi, 45 years-old of Batavia, was arrested and charged with harassment in the third degree. Jefferson County Attorney Tim Dille says, the threat made was by a phone call and was very general against the school. Olaniyi’s children attend school at Fairfield High School. Also assisting in the investigation were the Fairfield Police Department and Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies.
