The Noah’s Ark Animal Foundation will host a low-cost microchip and vaccination clinic this weekend. Veterinarians recommend putting microchips in pets, the rice-sized chips which store owner contact information, are implanted between your pet’s shoulder blades. If your pet is lost, veterinary clinics and animal shelters can painlessly scan the pet and contact the owner. It’s also important to keep vaccinations up to date on pets as there are many contagious diseases airborne and your pet could easily be exposed on a walk or even through an open window.

The event will be held Saturday from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Noah’s Ark Animal Foundation in Fairfield. The micro-chipping is $25 and annual vaccinations, including the rabies vaccine will be offered for $15 each. No registration is required.
