A meeting to discuss the ongoing budget issues at Highland Schools has been set. The school will host a meeting on February 11th at 6:30 p.m. in the Highland High School gym. The school is dealing with a $230,000 short-fall this year due to declining enrollment. Highland Superintendent Chris Armstrong tells KCII News, the school and the cities it serves have some difficult decisions to make in the next few months.

Armstrong says this will just be the first meeting to discuss the budget for the school. He expects the school board to decide which cuts are needed in March. For more from Armstrong listen to today’s In Touch with Southeast Iowa.
