The Iowa Mennonite School girls and boys basketball teams will be back at home Friday night when they continue Southeast Iowa Superconference play by hosting the Columbus Wildcats.

The IMS girls enter the contest with an 0-12 overall record, IMS is 0-11 in conference play. In their last game IMS fell at Highland on Tuesday night 61-16. Suzanna Yoder led the team with 10 points. On the year Rachel Miller leads IMS at seven points per contest. Yoder is the leading rebounder for IMS with 66 on the year, Yoder also leads the team with 30 assists.

Columbus enters Friday’s game with a 4-9 overall record, the Wildcats are 4-7 in conference play. In their last game Columbus came up short against Pekin 69-40 in Columbus. Shania Boyd led the Wildcats with 15 points. On the season, Columbus is led by Boyd with 16 points per game and 70 rebounds for the season, Kortney Orr leads the way with 30 assists. These two teams met on December 11th with the Wildcats rolling to a 60-20 win.

In the boys matchup IMS enters play with an 8-5 overall record and a 5-4 standing in the Superconference. iMS came up short 54-45 on Tuesday night at Highland. Nick Yutzy led Iowa Mennonite with 13 points in the contest. On the season Eli Gingerich leads IMS and the Superconference in scoring with 19 points per game. Gingerich also holds the team lead and is second in the conference with 71 assists. Gingerich is the leading rebounder for IMS on the season with 51.

Columbus enters Friday’s game an overall record of 0-11, the Wildcats are 0-9 in conference action. In their last game Columbus fell to Winfield Mt. Union 68-42. Carter Colby led Columbus with 15 points. On the season the Wildcats are led by Colby at 13 points per game. Ruben Paz leads Columbus with 21 assists and Mauricio Ramirez paces Columbus with 43 rebounds. These two teams met on December 11th with IMS taking a 61-25 win in Columbus.
