Despite the cold winter weather the Kalona Public Library keeps a busy calendar of events. Youth Services Librarian Erin Silva says, in the cold months it’s more important than normal to keep busy and have plenty of events for patrons of all ages. Silva tells KCII News, every Friday from 10:30 to 11 a.m., they host Toddler Time, for children 12 to 36 months old and their caregivers. Storytime is held every Wednesday starting at 10:30 a.m. for toddlers and pre-school aged children. For adults the library also has The Last Tuesday Book Club meeting the last Tuesday of every month at 8 p.m. They pick anything and everything from classics, to recent books both ficition and non-fiction.
