The Mid-Prairie wrestling team competed Saturday at the Gladbrook-Reinbeck Tournament.

The Golden Hawks finished second as a team with 245 points. Dike-New Hartford won the team title with 324 points. Mid-Prairie had four wrestlers top the podium. Duncan McCain brought home the championship at 113lbs winning the title bout by fall over Thomas Matteson of Independence. Cameron Tolander was a champion at 182lbs taking the title 5-1 in sudden victory over DJ Ackerson of Dike-New Hartford, Visouth Peterschmidt won the 195lbs weight class topping Hunter Crawford of Independence on an injury timeout disqualification and Levi Duwa took the title at 220lbs with a fall in 1:06 over Ethan Huntington of Dike-New Hartford.

David Murray at 132lbs, Brent Foster at 145lbs, Ethan Danner at 160lbs and Jason Tew at 170lbs all finished in third place at the tournament and brought home medals.
