There is now another way to register to vote in Iowa with a new electronic voter registration system. Iowans can now register to vote online, by mail or at government offices, including driver’s license stations. The online registration is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week – click here to check it out.

To use this form of registration a person has to input an Iowa driver’s license number, non-operator identification number or the last four digits of his or her Social Security number, and then fill out name and address information. Sue Meeks, elections administrator for Washington County, said in the first week of January Washington County had three people register to vote this way. Currently, there are 13,924 active registered voters in Washington County.
