Roads were safe in Washington County over the New Year’s weekend. Washington County Sheriff Jerry Dunbar verified there were no operating while intoxicated arrests made from New Year’s Eve to Sunday in Washington County.

There was one public intoxication arrest on New Year’s Eve in Washington County with 39-year-old Eric Less of Iowa City arrested in Riverside. A second public intoxication arrest was made Saturday; 21-year-old Jesus Minard was arrested in the early morning hours January 2nd in Washington, he was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
