In a crowded Cafe Dodici with standing room in limited supply, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders spoke of his goals and his campaign for the Democratic nomination for president. He spoke of addressing income inequality and taking on Wall Street and corporate America to help American workers. Sanders also wants to change trade policies so companies invest in the states. He also discussed addressing the health care system and the criminal justice system, among increasing the minimum wage to $15 per hour, rebuilding public infrastructure and making public colleges tuition free.

He served as a congressman in the U.S. House of Representatives for 16 years and was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2006. To see photos from the event visit KCII Radio’s Facebook page.
