The Lone Tree Lady Lion basketball team scored a road Southeast Iowa Superconference win at Hillcrest Union in Kalona Tuesday night knocking off Iowa Mennonite School 49-28.

The Lady Lions held a 10-7 lead after the first quarter but it was the second frame where they made their move, holding IMS scoreless for a four minute stretch and going on a 16-4 to take a 26-14 lead into the half.

Lone Tree continued to control the game in the second half outscoring IMS 13-7 in the third quarter, and putting the game away in the fourth quarter with defense. Lone Tree was led on the night by Maddie Forbes with 13 points. Suzanna Yoder led Iowa Mennonite with eight points. With the win Lone Tree is now 7-3 overall, 5-2 in the Superconference. IMS falls to 0-8 overall.
