The 4-H County Council is holding their second annual Father-Daughter dance next week. There is still time to register for the Valentine’s Ball. The event is for area girls in grades kindergarten through 4th and the special man in their lives. Amy Green, 4-H and Youth Coordinator for Washington County, explains it is the second year for the father-daughter dance, which is held by the 4-H County Council. The event will feature dancing, games, a photo booth, refreshments and a corsage for each girl. There are also times ahead of the dance for girls to get their hair and nails done by 4-H members.

Green shares the money raised goes toward scholarships for 4-H members for a variety of programs, including trips. This spring 4-H students are able to go on an animal science trip to Iowa State University or a two-day trip to St. Louis, Missouri.

Registration for the dance is due by the end of the day Friday, and there is a total limit of 75 couples. It will be held February 6th from 6 to 8 p.m. in Dallmeyer Hall at the Washington County Fairgrounds and it is $15 per couple. For the registration form click here.
