The Mid-Prairie boys basketball team came up short on the road in Tipton Tuesday night, falling to the Tigers 79-57.

In the first quarter Mid-Prairie built a slim 14-10 lead only to see Tipton score the final four of the frame, and the first 17  of the second quarter to jump out to an advantage. The total Tipton run was 23-1, giving the Tigers a 31-20 lead at the half. Tipton continued their push in the second half opening the third quarter on a 16-5 run. Tipton stretched their lead to 27 points at it’s largest. Matt Pelzer spurred Tipton to the victory behind his career high 34 points. Mid-Prairie was led by Caleb Statler who finished with 15. With the loss Mid-Prairie falls to 0-10 on the year and 0-9 in the River Valley Conference. The Golden Hawks will next be in action Friday when they host West Branch.
