Iowa Mennonite School was recently represented at the 2016 Iowa Boys State Swimming Meet.

Iowa Mennonite has a sharing agreement for a boys swimming program with Iowa City West High School. IMS student Noah Bruns participates as a member of the West High Trojan swim team.

Bruns qualified for state at the district meet held at Iowa City, City High School as a member of the 200 yard medley relay team that placed second with a time of 1:40.94. Bruns also participated, but did not qualify in the 50 freestyle, placing third with his time of 22.90 seconds and the 100 freestyle where he was fourth with a time of 50.54 seconds.

At the state meet the Iowa City West 200 medley relay team of Noah Bruns, Nassim Adu-Dagga, Ben Berhow and Brennon Keen placed 17th in the field of 24 teams with their time of 1:40.97.
