A county-wide fundraiser to combat cancer and polio is underway in Washington County. The annual Daffodil Days campaign is now a combined effort of area Rotary Clubs and the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Washington Rotarian Kierstan Peck explains the goal is to raise $5,000, which will be split between the two organizations. She adds it’s a way to share a sign of spring, with people often purchasing the flowers for a friend who has or had cancer, or someone who lost a loved one to cancer.

The daffodils can be purchased for a minimum donation of $10 and orders can be placed with any local Rotarian or Relay for Life volunteer. For more information listen to today’s Washington Page.
