The current three-game road swing for the Washington Demon girls’ basketball team (7-9 overall) continues tonight in Bloomfield. The Davis County Mustangs (3-15 overall) welcome the Demons to town for a non-conference battle.

Washington last played in Keokuk Friday, losing the Southeast Conference matchup 51-34 to the No. 4 Chiefs (15-1 overall). The Demons stayed with two possessions of Keokuk through the first three quarters, trailing 14-11 at halftime and 29-25 at the end of the third quarter. Sophomore Sarah Nacos dropped a team-best nine points, while senior Addie Pacha added eight points and five rebounds.

Davis County has struggled this season as members of the South Central conference. The Mustangs have won only one game at home, and three in their 18 games played. Junior Sydnee Redman is the Mustangs’ leading scorer, averaging 11 points per game. Junior Vanessa Bakley has grabbed a team-best 101 rebounds.

Tonight’s non-conference girls’ basketball game between the Demons and Mustangs is set for 7:45 p.m. at Davis County High School.
