A group of area emergency and health personnel will meet Monday for the first Washington County Preparedness Planning Consortium. Larry Smith, Washington and Keokuk County Emergency Management Coordinator, says they are asking representatives from all fire departments, emergency medical services, county law, city law, secondary roads, public health, and Washington County Hospital and Clinics to attend the kick off meeting. The first item of business for the group will be to go over a mass fatality plan for the county, which will need to move from a draft to a working plan. The meeting is being held Monday at 7 p.m. at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
