A father-daughter dance is being held at the Washington County Fairgrounds tonight. The second annual dance is being held by the 4-H County Council and Amy Green, 4-H and Youth Coordinator for Washington County, explains the money raised goes toward scholarships for 4-H members for a variety of programs, including trips. This spring 4-H students are able to go on an animal science trip to Iowa State University or a two-day trip to St. Louis, Missouri.
Tonight’s event is for area girls in grades kindergarten through 4th and the special man in their lives. The couples will be able to dance, play games, enjoy refreshments and use a photo booth. Pre-registration for the event is required as there are a limited number of corsages.
