The Mid-Prairie boys basketball team wrapped up their season Monday  night at Iowa City Regina High School, falling in the first round of the district tournament to Wilton 49-35.

Wilton got things going early, going on an 18-4 run that lasted the entire first quarter. The Beavers would stretch their first half lead to as many as 19, forcing Mid-Prairie to play catch up the rest of the night. Wilton held a 26-11 lead at the half. Mid-Prairie would get as close as 13 in the second half but the Beavers were able to stop any Mid-Prairie runs and finish out the win. The Golden Hawks were led on the night by Caleb Statler with eight points. Mid-Prairie’s four seniors Nolan Faselt, Noah Altenhofen, Ryan Cortum and Ben Stone wrap up their Mid-Prairie careers with the loss. The Golden Hawks finish their season at 1-21, Wilton advances to the district semfinals Thursday to play Louisa-Muscatine at Durant.
