The Iowa Department of Transportation is updating its long-range plan looking to the year 2045 and Iowans are being asked for their input. The DOT has a public survey regarding what priorities people would like to see addressed for the state’s roads. Washington Economic Development Group director Ed Raber says it’s important and they’re looking as to where to allocate funds. Some of the questions ask about adding lanes on critical routes, while others talk about safety improvements to reduce the likelihood of crashes. There are areas for specific comments.
