The goal of reaching the state wrestling tournament is still intact for four Highland Huskies. The Huskies’ wrestling team competed in the Class 1A Section 16 tournament Saturday afternoon at New London High School against grapplers from nine different regional schools. The top two individuals from each weight class advance to Saturday’s district tournament.

Drew West, the No. 2 wrestler in the Predicament’s  won the 126 pound championship by pinning Wapello’s Cobi Cline.

A pair of freshmen will also represent Highland in the state qualifying round after placing second in their weight divisions.
