Iowa Mennonite School and Lone Tree will wrap up the regular season tonight by squaring off in a Superconference doubleheader at Lone Tree.

The IMS girls enter tonight’s game at 1-16 on the season, fresh off of their first win Tuesday, where they topped Winfield-Mt. Union 45-42. Suzanna Yoder had a career high 18 points to lead the way. Yoder leads IMS in scoring on the season at nine points per game, assists with 40 for the season and rebounding with 97 total boards.

The Lady Lions come into tonight’s contest with an overall record of 13-6. In their last game they topped Louisa-Muscatine 45-34, led by 19 points from Madison Forbes. On the season Lone Tree is paced by Forbes at 12 points per game, eighth best in the conference. Derik Chandler has the team lead with 39 assists and Maryssa Grover is Lone Tree’s top rebounder with 111. These two teams met on January 5th with Lone Tree getting a 49-28 win in Kalona. The Lady Lions were led by 13 points from Madison Forbes. Suzanna Yoder led IMS with eight points.

In the boys contest, Iowa Mennonite is 11-8 on the season. Last time out, IMS scored a 70-59 win over Winfield-Mt. Union on Senior Night at Hillcrest Union. Eli Gingerich led the way for IMS with a triple double, 21 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. On the season Gingerich leads IMS and is second in the conference, scoring 18 points per game. He leads IMS and is second in the conference with 122 assists. Drake Brezina leads IMS with 82 rebounds.

Lone Tree enters tonight’s game with an overall record of 15-3. The Lions are the champions of the Southeast Iowa Superconference North Division with their 11-3 mark in conference play. Last time out Lone Tree fell to Louisa-Muscatine 59-48. The Lions were led by Jovonte Squires with 20 points. On the season Squires leads Lone Tree and is fourth in the conference in scoring at 16 points per game. Squires leads the Lions and the Superconference with 142 assists. Niko Gosnell has the team lead and is sixth in the conference with 109 rebounds. These two teams met earlier this year with Lone Tree taking a 53-49 win in Kalona. Niko Gosnell led Lone Tree with 16 points in the contest, Eli Gingerich had 26 for IMS. Action begins tonight at Lone Tree High School with the girls game at 6PM.
