The Iowa Mennonite School girls basketball team came into the season under first year head coach Kari Huisinkveld looking to build a foundation for the program and gain experience.

IMS ended the season with an overall record of 1-19, they were 10th in the North division with a conference record of 1-15. The lone victory for IMS this year came on senior night when they defeated Winfield-Mt. Union 45-42. Suzanna Yoder led the way with 18 points in the win. On the season statistically Iowa Mennonite struggled in the offensive end, averaging just 25 points per game, bottom of the SEISC North. They were also in the bottom two in field goal percentage, three point percentage, assists, and rebounds. Defensively IMS was middle of the pack, surrendering 47 points per game, fifth in the conference and recording 107 steals for the year.

Individually, IMS was led by freshman guard Suzanna Yoder. Yoder led the team in scoring with eight points per game, 45 assists, 32 steals, and 108 rebounds. Senior Jess Bender led the entire superconference with 71 blocked shots.

IMS graduates one senior, Jess Bender from this year’s team. IMS ended the year in the first round of regionals February 11th, losing to Lone Tree in Lone Tree 62-27.
