Tuesday night is Senior Night for the Iowa Mennonite School boys and girls basketball teams as they host Winfield-Mt. Union.

The IMS girls enter tonight’s action with an 0-16 overall record. Last time out IMS lost to Pekin Friday on the road 65-20. Suzanna Yoder led the way for IMS with 11 points. On the year Iowa Mennonite is led in scoring by Suzanna Yoder at eight points per game. Yoder also paces IMS with 90 rebounds and 37 assists on the year.

Winfield-Mt. Union will oppose IMS tonight in the double header. The Lady Wolves are 4-15 overall. In their last game WMU topped Lone Tree 31-27. Lauren Jamison led the way with 11 points. On the year the Wolves are led by Lexee Harstock at seven points per game, Pearl Krieger-Coble leads WMU with 171 rebounds and Kara Wade paces Winfield-Mt. Union with 18 assists.

These two teams met twice e year ago, with each team winning on their home floor, IMS 43-37 in Kalona and WMU 44-37 in Winfield. Tip of the girls game is scheduled for six tonight.

In the boys contest, Iowa Mennonite enters with an overall record of 10-8. IMS scored a win Saturday over Sigourney at Hillcrest Union by a 56-48 score. Eli Gingerich led the way with 26 points, Cole Ours finished with 10. On the year IMS is led by Eli Gingerich and his 18 points per game average, best in the Southeast Iowa Superconference. Gingerich also holds the IMS team lead and is second in the conference with his 112 assists. Drake Brezina leads IMS with 80 rebounds.

Winfield-Mt. Union comes into the boys contest with an overall record of 12-6. The Wolves are 9-4 in conference play, good for second place. In their last game the Wolves fell to Lone Tree 66-59. Garret Baker had 20 points to lead WMU, Zach Davis added 19, and Bryce Robson had 12. On the season WMU is led by Zach Davis at 17 points per game, third best in the SEISC. Garret Baker is best on the Wolves and second in the conference with 153 rebounds and Kolt Rossiter leads WMU and is sixth in the conference with his 54 assists. These two teams met twice a year ago with IMS winning 48-40 at Hillcrest Union and the Wolves winning in Winfield 57-43.
