The City of Keota is experiencing an usual problem, no one applying to work at the pool this summer. City Clerk Niki Osweiler says, this is the lowest interest the city has seen for employment at the pool and its very odd to have so little interest. The city covers all training costs and needs at least seven lifeguards trained for the pool to open. Osweiler adds, if the the city can not find the required lifeguards they will have no choice but to close the pool for the year. Lifeguards must be at least 16 years old and have all of the proper certifications completed by May. The pool is also currently without a manager for the summer. The manager must be a responsible adult who will handle scheduling, inventory and managing personnel. Osweiler asks those interested to call 641-636-2266.
