A pair of juniors on the Lone Tree Lion girls’ basketball team (15-8 record) impressed the coaches of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference North this season. Madison Forbes and Elena Sieverding were two of the nine players named to the SEISC first team all-conference squad.

Forbes was the top offensive player for the Lions this season, scoring a team-best 291 points. She also ranked second on the team in steals (55) and third in rebounds (95).

Sieverding’s was arguably one of the best defensive players on the Lions this season. Her 63 steals ranks first on the team, and her 13 blocks was four more than anyone else the Lion’s squad. She also ranked second in scoring (198), rebounds (114), and assists (36).

Senior Morgyn Edwards and sophomore Riley Warson represent Lone Tree as honorable mention selections.

The Lady Lions ended the season with a 15-8 record, a seven win improvement from last year. Lone Tree loses Edwards and Derik Chandler to graduation.
