The Louisa County Rural Hometown Pride committee is looking to clean up the county. The committee is seeking volunteers to help crews clean county right-of-ways and roadside ditches of litter. Event organizers say there will be stations set up in various towns throughout Louisa County where volunteers may pick-up supplies such as: orange trash bags, latex gloves and high visibility vests. The event takes place on March 20th from 1 to 4 p.m. To sign up, volunteers are asked to call Louisa County Conservation at 319-523-8381. Residents are also asked to call if they know of any areas of the county which will need attention from clean up crews.
