The Washington County Conservation Board unanimously approved moving forward on plans to pave the Kewash Nature Trail near Washington. Steve Anderson Executive Director of Washington County Conservation says, while this is a very preliminary vote he is excited for the trail’s future. Many hurdles still impede the project. He says efforts to fund the project with grants will begin immediately for the expected two miles of paved trail near the Kirkwood Washington Regional Center. The project will likely cost more than $600,000 and would not break ground until 2017 at the earliest.
