The completion of work on W38, or Wellman Road, was approved by the Washington County Board of Supervisors this week. The total project cost was $254,181.37. The project repaired the shoulders of the road south of Wellman. Supervisor Jack Seward said he’s heard from farmers in the area who are pleased with the work. Norris Asphalt Paving Company of Ottumwa did the work to improve the safety of the roadway for the public from Highway 92 to the Wellman City limits.The work was done in October.
