The Washington Demon boys’ basketball team (7-13 overall) is embarking on their final regular season road game tonight. The Demons will bus to Williamsburg tonight for a non-conference tilt versus the Raiders (2-16 overall).

The Demons will look to bounce back from a 67-41 loss Friday night in the Southeast Conference finale versus the Mount Pleasant Panthers (15-5 overall). Mount Pleasant led 26-18 at halftime, breaking the game open in third quarter with a 20-5 run. Sophomore Dalton Myers led the Demons in scoring with 14 points. Washington senior Derek Anding leads the Southeast Conference in scoring with 364 points.

This has been a difficult season for the Raiders, who are a year removed from a 24-win season and a state tournament appearance. After losing their top four scorers to graduation, Williamsburg has only been able to win two of their 18 games played. Sophomore Ben Shubert leads the Raiders with 151 points scored, and is second on the team with 105 rebounds.

The last meeting between the teams came during the last year’s district tournament. The Raiders sent the Demons into the offseason with a 60-41 victory in Tiffin.

KCII Sports will have live play-by-play coverage of tonight’s non-conference battle, beginning with the Washington Hy-Vee Pregame Show at 7 p.m. on FM 106.1 and KCIIRadio.com.
